Additional Information: The painting includes a letter/report of expertise signed and stamped by Professor J. Asensi Lloria, Caracas, Venezuela and dated 2.6.2007. The painting dates from Reverón’s "white period,” which began in 1924 and extended into the 1940s. During this time, he focused on the coastal landscapes of Macuto, a seaside town in Venezuela’s Vargas state, using pale palettes and textured materials such as burlap to evoke intense tropical light.
