This captivating Art Deco bronze sculpture by Armand Godard transports viewers to the late 1920s with its elegant depiction of a pensive nude lady accompanied by a Borzoi (Russian Wolfhound). The lady's bobbed hairstyle reflects the fashion of that era, adding a rich historical and artistic dimension to the piece. Godard's meticulous attention to detail is evident in the beautifully modeled figures, with the Borzoi showcasing a darker patina that contrasts strikingly against the lady's warm bronze finish. Crafted using the time-honored Lost Wax Method, this sculpture embodies the grace and sophistication characteristic of the Art Deco period. It is elegantly presented on a black oval marble base, which enhances its visual appeal and provides a stable tabletop display. The base is signed "A. Godard," marking it as a genuine creation by the artist. Dimensions with marble base: Height 11" x Width 14.5". Weight: 23 lbs. A prized addition to any fine art collection or refined interior space.
